Lizzie had her pups on Friday the 27th. 7 girls and 4 boys! Everyone here has their hands full with this big litter! They are healthy and feisty.
Paint’s are starting to walk and their eyes are open. Note how not hungry they are compared to Lizzie’s. Life of luxury, and lots of food for these five.
Paint had her pups last Friday- 2 girls and 3 boys. All are doing great. Here they are today, 6 days old. The 2 girls have orange and yellow ribbons.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks around here. The Camas x Doc pups are coming along well. Eyes are open and they are walking. Soon they will start playing and thinking about something other than just food, but for now life still revolves entirely around nursing.
The puppy with the patches on his neck and right shoulder is a tricolor chestnut male- officially know as chestnut and tan ticked with American Field. An awesome color we haven’t seen for a long time.
Pepper whelped very early Monday morning. Just like Camas, she has 3 females and 5 males. This is a repeat breeding that produces blue and tricolor. Too soon to tell how many of each yet this time around.
Tuesday evening Lizzie had her pups. She also has a litter of 8, with 6 females and 2 males. Also has chestnut pups- 4 of them! If we have it figured out right one of the others is a tricolor- a female with a patch on her right rear leg, two are blue, and one is a belton female that could be any color.
Big litters, lots of chestnut, lots of cool patches- and we have our hands full!
Camas had her pups late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. There are 5 males and 3 females. One of each is a chestnut, the rest are either blue or tricolor. Enjoy!
Spice whelped 10 puppies last Saturday, March 15. There are four males and six females and all are doing well but we’re tired. Here’s a short video.
We are planning to have four litters this spring. Spice has been bred to River and is due to whelp around March 14th. This is a repeat breeding. If our females stay on their normal schedules, next up will probably be Pepper x Heath, another repeat. Later will be first time pairings of Lizzie x River and Camas x Doc. Both of those should be late spring or early summer litters.
Camas whelped her pups on April 5th. There are two males and two females. We’re a little late getting a video posted (thanks to Suzie’s litter – more on that soon) but here’s a short clip taken last night.
We have two litters coming up. Camas was bred to Heath and her puppies are due to be born the first week of April. Suzie was bred to Doc and she is due about 10 days later. Should be a busy month around here. Also hoping to have one additional litter this year, out of Lizzie and River.
Paint and her pups are doing great. The pups are really getting fun now, playing and acting like puppies. Here’s a bit of video we shot of them last evening.
Paint’s puppies are 12 days old now and doing great. Their eyes are just starting to open and they’ll be walking around soon. Enjoy this video clip from this afternoon.
